ROACH TREATMENT NOTICE!

BUGABOO IS COMING!

We will be treating your residence with cockroach bait

The active ingredient in the bait is called Abamectin 05%..  It is derived from a naturally occurring fungus. It is often the main active ingredient in medicines to control tapeworms in horses and heart worms in dogs. It is a natural material that occurs in specific soils.  If consumed by pets, consult your local veterinarian.

 

How is it used? Rather than setting off bombs or using toxic sprays, we prefer to use the “BAIT INJECTION SYSTEM” which means we inject tiny amounts of bait [using a hypodermic like tool] in the walls, under the refrigerator, stove, under and near appliances, hot water heater, sinks, plumbing pipes, cracks of cupboards, and more.  In most cases it will not be visible to it. 

What do we have to do to prepare? You do not have to remove anything from the cupboards or cover anything, since we do not fumigate.  But we ask that you clean things up as much as possible.  Clear the sink of dishes, remove things from the counter, other than appliances.  Take things off the refrigerator since we will probably want to pull it out.  Generally just clean it up nice and tidy.

BEFORE WE COME

  • Be sure you residence is clean and tidy

  • No dishes in the sink or on counters.

AFTER WE TREAT:

DO NOT SPRAY HOUSEHOLD PESTICIDES SUCH AS RAID

  • Clean up spills.

  • Remove alternative food sources, pests are more likely to feed exclusively on the bait.

  • Vacuum thoroughly .A crumb is a feast to an insect.

  • Do not store plastic bags.  They make a nice roach home.

  • Store food in bug‑proof containers.

  • Empty trash containers frequently ‑

  • Keep the dishwasher closed or empty.

  • Pick up food when your pet is done eating.

  • Store recyclable cans & bottles in bug‑proof containers.

  • Be patient. The process will take several days to work.

  • Inform manager of any water leaks or conditions favorable for roach infestations.

  • Roaches are attracted to damp areas.

  • Reduce clutter. Don't give roaches an easy place to hide.
